✨️LANZAMIENTO GOLDEN MONKEY ✨️🐵 Loops by Lore Dekeyser  For this piano album I got really fascinated by the sound of playing the piano without the sustain pedal. Usually, it blends everything into one body, softens the edges, ties the notes together. What would happen if I remove that comfort entirely? Suddenly I was left with my hands only. Every note lasted exactly as long as my finger touched the key — nothing more. My focus sharpened. My curiosity too. Influenced by my dear friend and hugely inspiring artistic collaborator Ale Borea’s approach to percussion, I began treating the piano as a rhythmic instrument. Tempo, pulse, and drive became the glue. I wanted the notes to move beyond themselves — to transcend into something disrupted, dysregulated, angular & electric.
