As always, I try to make my bases compliment the crystal and not distract from its beauty, while still holding it securely and holding an elegant posture. This one has three lights in it to magnify its beauty, with the option of dimming the light. Came out pretty clean. Not bad for this one man band. Dis this project before on my own and built it all on location. Took me five days total to remove the old fence and fabricate what I made. My violent wanted something simple and something that worked well. Especially since what she previously had did not do that. Check out this little gate I made yesterday for my clients. They wanted the reclaimed look and want for this to rust like the metal on their property. Came out very nice and they were very pleased with it. I know I say I don’t do this type of work, but I do enjoy them once in a while, plus the excuse to work outside. Check out this new base I just completed for this 74kg Smokey Quarts from Russia. I’ve been holding on to this and just completed it before the 2026 Tucson Gem Show. This specimen has some phantoms inside and some rainbow color due to internal fractures. Thing is a beauty. We’ll see shock show it ends up at. Maybe you might run into it. The Arizona Bowl Trophies are finally done and I figured I’d post them while they are still at my shop before they get picked up tomorrow morning. What a project! So many variables go into this project, with three trophies and working with great companies that helped and contributed on this project. @leoarmory with their amazing engraving capabilities. If you need anything engraved, and I mean anything. Hit them up! Great husband and wife team that are wonderful to work with. The guys over at Royal Plating who do some amazing work. They come second to none with their work as well. And my good friend Carlos Noriega who helped roll the aluminum with his slip roller. All other fabrication was me. Building these hallow formed pieces in aluminum and polishing them individually before actually welding them together. Quite the challenge, especially when you can’t use magnets on aluminum. But here we are. They are complete. Glad to be finishing 2025 with a bang! Very blessed to finish this project on my one year anniversary at my new shop space which I am so lucky to be in. So my client asked me for four more bases and also said I could do experiment on finishes. I did three like the first one, but then I heat treated the fourth one, and he fell in love with it, even more. Now he wants more of these, so I’ll be making more in the heated style. Hi everyone! Our album Ants for Abraham turns 10 years old and to celebrate we're throwing a party with all these cool people! 10 years ago seeing the direction physical media was heading we decided to release this album on USB... Everyone was very confused as to what it even was at shows and no one really bought it. We still have copies of the original 100 we made! We still think it was a good idea though and we'll probably do it again. The album was written mostly over voicemails between Gianna and I while she was living in Austin and I Portland. We got together in Chicago to record the album with the help of our friends Michael Martello and Brian Carstenson. I had to do like 100 punch ins on the song Blind Kids because I'm terrible at the accordion and aside from the release show we've only performed the song live maybe 2 other times. The album was titled after an improvised track we recorded in our basement studio in Jefferson Park Chicago back when we were in We Will Eat Rats to Survive and the recordings from that session have long since been lost.

A client is trying to motivate her father to walking in their desert land and wanted to place art along the path. She asked me if I could make her a black widow out of scrap from my pile. Just finished this restoration project, and just in time for Cyclovia and Halloween!! Such a huge project, but I knew I could do it. I’m an artist, right? Took a while because of the summer heat but nothing I couldn’t handle. It’s on University Blvd west of Stone Ave, in Dunbar Spring. This originally came from the Magic Carpet Miniature Golf course. When it was delivered to the house it was crumbling and severed into multiple pieces for transport purposes. I created some flange plates that I cemented into to sculpture with rebar, so that when the crane set it in place, I could weld the parts together before cementing and then painting a new King Snake look on it. The owners were really happy with the turn out. So did the neighbors who drove, or walked by. They all seemed happy with the turnout. Just installed this Fibonacci Sequence stained glass window I made for my client. Proud to say, I did it all!! What a challenge it was though, especially since I’ve never done stained glass, but pretty cool for my first time. All the metal work was the easy part, the glass was the challenge but I made it! They were definitely happy with the outcome and loved the way the glass they chose turned out. Love being an artist!
