For 2–3 months, the actors, dancers, singers, and band members all rehearsed separately — the first time we saw each other’s work was the morning of the show at tech 🫢
As Dance Captain, my main focus was making sure everyone else’s pieces were solid…
but my own solo? 🧍🏾♀️
Yeah… I hadn’t even started it.
The song “Better Days @lovedayasoul ” was actually new to me, so I took some time to sit with it, pray, and wait for real inspiration.
Would you believe me if I said my first full-out run was at the tech run… the morning of the show? 👀😅
And that tech run? 🙆🏾♀️😂
All I can say is: God really loves us, fr.
Shoutout to @itsjust_derrick too — he believed in me even though the first time he ever saw the solo was in front of a live audience
