When left my entire life I knew behind me and moved across the country where I barely knew anyone it came with a very lonely few months.
While moving somewhere new can be extremely exciting I often woke up feeling alone and uninspired. Coming from fast paced NYC to chill beach city of San Diego was a pretty big shock. It was also during I time I decided to get sober and wasn’t going out as much.
Going out solo didn’t feel like a good option for me so I felt the best way to get back out and in front of people was to put on DEVELOPED. A space I originally started for people who had a shared interest in music and a place to meet other artists. Something I started for other people ended up getting me back in the most inspired place I’ve been in since moving here. Met so many incredible and talented artists that I now call my friends. Thank you all for spending the day with me from the workshop to the show later in the night.
My message to you is, if you’re looking for something, sometimes you need to create it yourself.
There’s no shame in having a hustle on top of your artistry (I still do this, and so do many others in pursuit of art)
My best music is always made when I’m financially at peace.

Ky William ( @kywilliam ) has been building something real since day one. He just moved to San Diego. April 25th at @3ozdiveclub is his first show in his new city.
