Yesterday, four years ago. "Mydriasis" was released, dubbed by some as "if Radiohead made lo-fi". After a brief period of absense on streaming plataforms (got lost when deleted Distrokid account) It's back online. Shout out to myself entirely for the composition, sample selection (it was a very old german audio show about dr*gs, hence, the track title), production, mixing, mastering and release. At the time, it was the best I can do. Stay tuned for more, at some point in the near future. _____________________________________________________________________________ Ayer, pero hace cuatro años, se lanzó "Mydriasis", apodado por algunos como "si Radiohead hubiera hecho lo-fi". Tras un breve periodo de ausencia en plataformas de streaming (se perdió al eliminar la cuenta de Distrokid), vuelve a estar disponible. Un agradecimiento especial a mí por la composición, la selección de samples (era un programa de audio alemán muy antiguo sobre dr*gas, de ahí el título de la canción), la producción, la mezcla, la masterización y el lanzamiento. En aquel momento, fue lo mejor que podia hacer. Estén atentos para más novedades próximamente, en algún momento.

No voy a decir abiertamente que este este es el último Spotify Wrapped que comparto pero deberia serlo y tengo sensaciones encontradas al respecto: valoro mucho cada una de las reproducciones que le dieron a mis canciones a través de esta plataforma, tenganlo muy claro, sin embargo se siente sumamente anti-etico estar en ella y no los puedo forzar a escucharme en algun otro servicio de streaming. Mi música se debe a quienes con cariño la escuchan y espero que el próximo año las cosas sean muy distintas y eso incluye que ya no exista Spotify. Ella es Lola. Ustedes ya la conocen, probablemente ella no quiera conocerlos a ninguno de ustedes porque tiene el peor genio que le he conocido a cualquier gato y tengo razones para creerlo y la @macapnf (quien la trajo a mi vida) puede secundarme en la opinión. Ella cumplió cinco años esta semana. ¿Por qué estoy colaborando con la cuenta de @kyppgrubb en esta publicación? Bueno, hace meses venimos trabajando con @cloud.e_daze de @lofi_alumni en un puñado de canciones que él pudo haber simplemente rechazado pero en un esfuerzo de bondad (lo que caracteriza al sello, debo decir) me fue dando tips técnicos y de mezcla para pulir cada una de las cuatro canciones que componen "While You Sleep". En un punto de la conversación me preguntó si tenía una mascota y se la presenté a través de videos y fotos y ahora ella es parte de la imagen visual de este EP y justo salió en su semana de cumpleaños. Los titulos de las canciones se me fueron ocurriendo en el camino pero son postales de mi proceso personal de producción musical, que casi siempre es de noche y con ella durmiendo en cualquier parte de la pieza, porque a los gatos les gusta dormir un montón. Háganle un espacio en su escucha de novedades a estas cuatro canciones, están en todos los servicios de streaming y bueno, disfrutenlas como disfruté yo haciéndolas y mejorandolas gracias a @lofi_alumni . Tuvieron que pasar casi cuatro años para hacerme el tiempo de actualizar mi espacio en Bandcamp, está (casi) todo mi catálogo a USD$1 por track aproximadamente y hay como que un pack descuento por toda la discografía, cómo será el tiempo que ha pasado que no tenía idea de ese feature de Bandcamp. También está bueno que me escuchen en servicios de streaming y agradezco a todos y cada uno de los sellos que me han apoyado en mis distintos lanzamientos para ello pero Bandcamp es y ha sido siempre una opción más directa. It took almost four years for me to find the time to update my Bandcamp space. It's (almost) my entire catalog available for approximately $1 per track, and there's a discounted package for my entire discography. It must have been so long since I knew about that Bandcamp feature. It's also great to be heard on streaming services, and I'm grateful to each and every one of the labels that have supported my various releases, but Bandcamp is and always has been a more direct option.
