Finally made it to Tomioka, Fukushima, and to the historical archive museum opened in 2021, a decade after the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster destroyed and dispersed the community. 70% of the museum's artifacts and disaster remnants, which amount to more than fifty thousand, were collected after 2011. The curator/archeologist said it's important to try to keep record of all that perished. Because history has always failed them, and we would let it happen again otherwise. And that all that gathered here are for those who might arrive here in the future, for them to know.
In Nagano showing stunning autumn sceneries. A local taxi driver told us however it's too warm for Nov, and much less snowfall in recent years is "scary" and is directly affecting their life.
My huge gratitude to @kosdai , @maya_watanabe_ , @han_ishu , and all who invested so much effort and work to materialize #motannual2021. And thank you to everyone who came to see it.
