Motion is everywhere, in a passing car, a swaying tree, or the ripple of water.
This April #MomentChallenge is all about capturing motion. Blur, pan, or freeze. It’s less about the subject and more about how the movement feels. Play with speed, contrast, and stillness to create images that makes us feel the movement.
Featuring shots from @kyohnam who shows us how the motion can transform an ordinary frame into something cinematic. His work reminds us that how we capture movement can tell a story just as powerful as what’s moving.
Submit your photos or video by April 24th using #MomentChallenge and tag us for a chance to win $500 in Moment gear and a feature across Moment channels. Good luck!!

street portraits, black and white film in SoHo(2026)
-
I tried B&W reversal film for my street portraits for the first time. I used @adoxphoto Scala 50, which turns into a positive film through a special development process.
The shooting went well, but I made a few small mistakes during development, which left some afterimages on the photos. After two failed attempts and getting some feedback from ADOX, I finally figured out the problem and learned how to finish the job right.
I want to say a huge thanks to everyone who stood in front of my camera. Now that I’ve mastered the process, I’m heading back to SoHo this weekend to capture more people. See you there.
