Happy Birthday Mom! 🎉🎂 Thank you for keeping me alive; I am truly blessed for your selflessness and love. May God keep you healthy for years to come.
I usually don’t like to talk about how I feel
But lately I’ve been feeling like SH!T.
We all do sometimes. It’s natural that our minds remember more negative memories than positive. Negativity bias is just a means of how our brain processes things to keep us safe by literally assuming the worst. But that’s besides the point.
I don’t remember a distinct period of time in recent months where I’ve been truly happy and in my element, “my usual self.” Sure, material possessions like a new car or escaping to other parts of the world can bring some positive energy, but you’ve gotta to take care of yourself first. Drumming up bad memories, mistakes, and self doubt becomes just the nastiest mental attitude I could put on myself. It’s time to focus more on the positive.
So how do we all counteract our inner demons?
Honestly, I don’t know... but I truly think that if you find what makes you happy, stick to it, 95% of the times there’s positive moments happening around you. Embrace it. There’s some great things around every corner and you just have to look. Have an awesome Thursday; if you made it this far, thanks for reading.
