Am home from my little
road/rail/bus replacement service
trip through some of the most beautiful
parts of this country. I absolutely love
Yorkshire, and all of its wonderful warm people.
I want to give massive shoutouts to,
@sharenaleesatti
Who put this event together,
and believes in me enough to give me a space,
She is one of the most
beautiful loving kind people
ive had the pleasure of getting to know,
and such an inspiration
with all the incredible work
she does in the poetry world.
@laurenkara1 who again,
is just such a warm and friendly human.
Who is a great poet and singer with
an amazing voice.
And though I've only met them a few times,
it is always like ive known them for years
when we get together.
Jodie, the way she just channels poems,
improvising in front of a room of people,
is a skill I will never not be in awe of.
Being able to just go completely
with the flow and see where it
Takes you, in front of a crowd, is just wow.
@saloomohamed such a delight to finally meet you
in person. We have been on the radio together, and have read his books, but to see him delivering his work live was brilliant.
It is always great to spend time around
@jamiehscruttonartist
again just genuine warmth and friendliness,
and his poems are so much fun.
Just sharing a stage with one of you
would have been an honour,
but to be able to share it
with all of you was absolutely amazing.
Thank you all for welcoming me
into this Yorkshire family,
it is definitely my second home.
Also want to give a shout out to the venue,
@ampedhudd which was a cool little cafe with a venue area attached, can see it being a great space to have all sorts of events.
And thank you to everyone that came and got involved, made me feel welcome and gave such lovely comments, it was beautiful.
