With two of my oldest and dearest friends moving away, I was looking back on the amazing times we have spent together. Adventures, mishaps, fun times and scary times. A quote by Dan sums it up: “Why is it whenever I’m in these situations, I look down and always see you.”@dan.jcox @alexmoogii

Airport Recollections: Looking through photos from the past year begs some level of reflection. This year has harboured varied moments and experiences. Good or bad, it is irrelevant. It is a journey of discovery and self expression. Learning to be brave, to be different and to be myself. But more importantly, to be kind to myself. I am thankful for everyone that is a part of my life. 📷 @vincenttran.send @setinstoneseq

I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

“You climb to the summit and there is nothing there. It’s how you get there. That is the important part. If you compromise the process and you’re an asshole when you start out. Then you’re an asshole when you get back. Nothings changed.” Yvon Chouinard. @alexmoogii @pinnacle_sports

USA, October 2024. “Real adventure is defined best as a journey from which you may not come back alive, and certainly not as the same person.” - Yvon Chouinard

Airport Recollections: Tasmanian climbing is an absorbing experience. The wind and the waves provide an environment of unnerving isolation. The feeling of being small in contrast to the grander presence of nature. Nothing compares to the vast beauty of these wild places in the far corner of the world. @dan.jcox @_nievetobin @aidan.pflaum @lauren_l_hunter @pinnacle_sports

Fantastic weekend of @froginafroq Tried my best to reenact a Henry Barber ascent of the cliff classic "Conquistador", armed with nuts, hexs, 40 year old pair of EB boots and a flat cap. I think it's also fitting to include some of a Frog article from the time period. "The crack goes on forever, and your strength is falling. Now the die is cast, climb or fall, there is no alternative.....Again you summon your last ounce of willpower and pull yourself onto the ledge, and you lie there motionless, time means nothing......Once tied in, the outlook changes completely. Secure and calm you are once again master of the situation, and height no longer bothers you. You've passed that now. Height has a relaxing effect, and the sun is warm on your face." 📸 @vincenttran.send #froginafroq #frogbuttress #henrybarber

Everyone will always tell you Arapiles is the best rock on earth, the best climbing in Australia or simply just THE place. Everything you hear is true but doesn’t justifiably describe the experience of what Arapiles ~ IS. “The experience never interpreted as glasses half empty or half full. Our glasses were always overflowing and we couldn’t wait for the next day. “Peter Croft on Arapiles. Thank you to everyone who made it the time of my life. @gen_forshaw @jackseawright @lisaeadie @mindyinwanderland
