Bangkok is diverse. You can go from it's ultra-modern malls and high-rise luxury condo’s to exploring the Old Town’s ornate temples, visit the sprawling markets and sample some of the local street food... all within 24 hours.
Like all cities it has its good and bad side.
The things I liked most: Rooftop views at sunset, mouthwatering spicy cuisine and the super-efficient skytrain system.
The thing I disliked the most: the air quality sucked!
Staying here for 2 months showed me that I’m not much of a city person and couldn’t see myself living here, although I can see why some expats fall in love with its eclectic charm.
There’s literally something for everyone, you just need to know where to look.
No regrets though, I’m glad I tested my assumptions and tried out "Big City Life" for a few months. 🌃

Stoked to be heading back to my favourite island this Saturday. I’ve been in Thailand for the past 3 months now, and while you could argue that the landscapes here are just as beautiful, there's something that keeps pulling me back to Bali. Call it the vibe. Call it the community. Call it magic. Whatever it is, I dig it. Also, super excited to explore some more of the surrounding islands this trip. First stop Lombok. 🌴 .

Got to sample some of the local “egg coffee” in Hanoi last year November.🍳 (It’s better than it sounds, trust me)
We found this unique little spot called The Note Cafe right opposite Hoan Kiem Lake.
The entire interior is plastered with multi-coloured sticky notes and the idea is to write a message, thought or quote you’re pondering and leave it behind in an open space...if you can find one.
Naturally, Annette and I wrote about 10 of them and found a few “interesting" places to stick em.😉

Cliches aside, this is probably one of the most photographed places on Nusa Penida, yet most people take their photo from the top and don’t bother making their way down to this magical beach. Sure the climb down the cliff face is a bit sketchy, but well worth it when you have the entire place to yourself at sunset.🌅
If you’re ever there, do it. I promise you won't regret it.
