a month ago, i got married and two weeks later my mom unexpectedly passed away. i am so so heartbroken.
bittersweetly, i am happy that my last memory of her was laughing, having a great time meeting my closest friends and reconnecting with hers. i am so sad that this was not the beginning of a chapter but the end of one. she was funny, real, loving, extremely loyal, strong and confident. she didn’t want a wake, claiming, if she was forced, “place me face down ass up so everyone can kiss my ass!”

A couple months ago i was invited to lecture about my work at @daleluiza ‘s intro to graphic design class at yale.
i talked about the power and influence of objects, the internet, and pop culture in my work from elementary school to now. 𝓞𝓫𝓳𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓯𝓲𝓬𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷, vanity, and the void are always on my mind. (adrian piper, josh kline, and tony cokes work pictured)
