This place is truly magical.
While we absolutely enjoy photographing our couples close to home, it is such a treat when we get to take an adventure together to capture them in a new-to-us location that requires a bit more planning and travel.
Hannah and Nick generously invited us to Connecticut to capture their engagement photos in a place that is special to them and we had the BEST time. We also had the best dinner at one of their favorites (@blacksheepniantic ), making a date out of it.
Here are a few sneak peeks of our time together yesterday! ✨

Forever one of our favorite wedding days ✨
In the months leading up to their wedding, Rachel and Jeff became like family to us. So much so that we received a generous invitation to join them for dinner at their family home a month before their wedding day. They shared the character and history of the charming waterfront village where their wedding would be, and then together with their family turned the attention to us and our story.
From the moment we sat down at the dinner table, it felt like we were part of the family. They asked the most thoughtful questions, were invested in us as people, and spent the time getting to know us as if we weren’t simply people they’d hired, but rather people that they wanted to know personally, as friends. By the time Rachel’s mom served us the best blueberry ice cream for dessert, I knew that their family would hold a special place in our heart forever.
The hospitality of these two and their parents will stick with me forever, and it’s a meal I will never forget! I’m so grateful that we get the chance to do it all again this summer 🥰

In anticipation of KSP’s 5th birthday this summer, our website is getting a refresh! These two will be gracing the “homepage welcome”. The portraits from their late September wedding in Annisquam feel effortless, relaxed, and classically New England, so it was a natural choice for us!
We’re excited to share more soon ✨
Just a glimpse of Kayla and Peter’s coastal engagement session ✨
We’re already counting down the days to their @beauportweddings celebration next spring!
Though snow is falling as I type this, I’m excited to come out of my off-season hibernation and share that our house build is coming together beautifully! I recorded this last month before our drywall went in. Painting begins this week and next up is our kitchen and flooring install.
We are so excited to move in this spring before wedding season starts and have lots more we can share to take you behind the scenes of the process 🥰
Merry Christmas from KSP! 🎄
We've been quieter on socials and our blog over the past few months as we've leaned fully into our house build and a restful offseason, but we couldn't let the holiday season pass by without sending warm wishes from our home to yours!
We're excited to share our 2025 KSP Christmas cards, with this year's letter to our couples in the full version on the blog today: /our-2025-ksp-christmas-cards/
Special thanks to our sweet friend @emmajomarshphoto for capturing the portrait we used 🤍
Sending so much love and festivity your way as we celebrate the hope that Christmas brings, and joyful anticipation at what 2026 will hold ✨
Hannah + Nick’s story feels written in the stars — or maybe in the number 27.
They met at a Halloween party in college and instantly felt like old friends. Years later, they got engaged at their favorite Connecticut winery, surrounded by family, and celebrated with a surprise party back home.
Their engagement session at Harkness State Park made the perfect backdrop for two people whose love has grown in all the little corners of Connecticut. And here’s the wild part — every major moment in their story has happened on the 27th: the day they met, got engaged, and got married.
This September, they celebrated that lucky number surrounded by all their favorite people, never leaving the dance floor for a single song. You can see more of this beautiful session by @kylashattuck in our second issue!
This is our first Christmas season of living within walking distance to a Starbucks, so I naturally had my first red cup of the year in hand before 6 AM this morning 🥰
