If you’re in Seattle, we’ll be debuting SCENES FROM BURMA at @seattleartbookfair today and tomorrow 💕 This is a collection of photos from my time traveling with family in 2020 — just one year before Myanmar’s military, the Tatmadaw, deposed of Aung San Suu Kyi and the democratic ruling party.
We often see Myanmar through bombed-out preschools, burning buildings, and ancient pagodas left in rubble. Instead, I wanted to share the Burma my parents knew: one where kids played soccer in the streets, climbed the tallest trees, and made slingshots from fallen branches.
The photos in this book are of that version of Burma: bright skies, clear lakes, fresh tea leaf salads, and pagodas bathed in gold. Stop by our table on the first floor and take a look.

I made a website for art markets! zines, art books, comics, artist alleys, crafts — you name it.
I started this project on a whim over a year ago during a cabin getaway. At the time, I would hear the same comments over and over again from other vendors: We missed the application deadlines! We forgot about that announcement! How did you find out about fairs in other states and countries?

It’s been nice to revisit some of our past generative sketches recently with fresh eyes. We haven’t really created “series” of works in our riso practice, so I appreciate the complements of these pocket-size zines against the backdrop of its larger forms.
They’re online in the shop and will be available at Multiple Formats, as well as at some west coast fairs in May ☀️

been doing a lot of printing lately! i was reminded that our machine prints up to legal size, which means more frames can fit on the page for animation ✨
I picked up the @zinehug riso animation guide back in 2023 at the Lucky & Friends holiday market, and this seemed like as good a sign as any to take it for a spin. I wasn’t sure how the fine details would show up when printed at small scale, but the speckly grain more than makes up for it!
The original animation is captured from a @p5xjs sketch that was designed in the spring of 2023. You may have a tiny riso print if you were at the risolab or Software for Artists Day that year 💖
