Hey earth friends! I’m announcing a new story about an alien; I’ve felt alien my whole life so what better way to express myself than through the perspective of one. Many people on the spectrum as well as people of all walks of life feel alien at times so this story is for everyone who feels out of place. What makes you feel like an alien? I feel like earth is my home and that I belong here but I’ve always wanted to travel to other planets and experience living with beings that aren’t from earth. More than anything I’d love to see animals and plants and fungi from other worlds. And become friends with other aliens.

I made this when I was stuck comparing myself to everyone else and only seeing what I couldn’t do. I told a friend I felt like a flightless bird, and instead of agreeing, they started telling me how unique and cool flightless birds actually are. This comic is kind of me learning to shift my perspective, like maybe I’m not failing at being like everyone else, maybe I just work differently. And that can still be something good. I’ve been SO sick the past week 🤧 today has been the first day I actually feel good again. Also I cracked the screen in my iPad somehow and it costs so much to repair and I think it’s an autism thing but I get so overwhelmed with fear when anything breaks it’s like the worst feeling. But I found a place that can fix it and they won’t replace it. I get so terrified of not having my drawing iPad it’s so so important I don’t even wanna think about it being cracked. Adjusting to changes is really difficult sometimes, even good changes. And I’m working on fixing habits like doomscrolling so that I can be my creative self again. I’m gonna post autism diary comics more again. Because it’s always good to reflect on how I’m feeling. I’ve recently gotten a lot better at staying off my phone and getting back into hyperfixations. But I’m still really tired after work and in general. Real conversation I had that made me insecure about not being “thick” which is silly. People should really stop making weight comments even if they think it’s more acceptable because it’s about weight loss. Also I hate that people think they can say anything after disclaiming it’s offensiveness. It doesn’t make it any nicer.

Posting this cuz I’ve been feeling so much self doubt. Being an adult of the spectrum I feel like I’m exhausted every day and have a hard time keeping up with life. I try really hard but it’s just a matter of fact that I will keep burning out even if I go my own pace. My brain just has a really hard time continuing to work and maintain chores and feed myself and make art. When I have so few spoons. Also the artwork is very perfect for spooky season. I love this little devil version of me I should make more with her.
