Tried out this jollof paste from @kwikish - definitely a solid option for quick, tasty, hassle free jollof!
Everyone loves jollof rice, but during busy periods there isn’t always the time to make it from scratch. Kwikish to the rescue!

Instructions
🍚Wash 380g of ‘easy cook long grain rice’ (this is important - this ‘parboiled’ type of rice has the hold you need to avoid sticky rice, available at any supermarket) until water runs clear
🍅Heat a little oil (about 2-3tbsp) in a pot
🌶️Add 1 jar @kwikish paste and fry on medium heat for about 2 minutes
🍚Add the washed and drained rice
🍅Add 600ml water. If you want an even brinier flavour you can add a little bit of salt/bouillon powder to taste. Same with hot chilli powder if you like heat - the paste is more fragrant and aromatic than fiery hot
🌶️Close pot - no need to stir - and cook for 20 minutes on low-medium (on the lower end) heat
🍚At 20 minutes, remove the lid and make a hole to let trapped steam escape
🍅Reduce heat and cook for further 5 or so minutes if needed (lid off)
🌶️Enjoy!
You can use this versatile, nicely seasoned red pepper and tomato sauce blend for general cooking too!
