Jisu Kim explores wrapped garments as protective design, reframing softness as a constructed form of strength. Based in New York and studying at Fashion Institute of Technology, Kim draws from Andean highland cacti and the layered, wrapped dress systems of the Aymara people to consider how protection can emerge through coexistence, texture, and cultural memory. Through M1 programming and crochet techniques, the collection develops cactus-inspired tactile surfaces that understand the body as continuously wrapped and composed.

< The old man of the Andes>
