🩶 💜And of course @clairewilson_agent , my incredible agent of 10 years, who was completely unfazed and immediately interested when I called her and said “so, you know Hansel & Gretel…famously siblings and famously children, but WHAT IF?” — I’ve said it before but Claire truly is my real life fairy godmother (like a glam, hot one, like the Blue Fairy in Pinocchio) and makes all my author dreams come true 💫
💖I love writing books and I hope I get to do it my whole life so thank you to everyone for sharing in the excitement for this new direction for me — and of course to my readers!!

❤️ Yesterday, May 9th, we celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary with a walk in the woods with our daughters and with an extraordinary meal at @kol.restaurant — where @kevgtsang looked at the duck mole like it was his actual true love. I loved everything on the menu but have to shoutout the asparagus tamal and langoustine taco🦞🌮 Swipe to see us young and in love 11 years ago, and less young but still in love now — with each other and also with the food at Kol🧡
🌴Our wedding was in Palm Springs — and our rehearsal dinner was at a Mexican restaurant my family has been going to for more than 50 years, and we spent part of our honeymoon in Mexico so it felt very apt and special to celebrate our anniversary at such an amazing Mexican restaurant here in London❤️
📖 I was lucky enough to attend the opening reception for the @britishlibrary ’s new immersive exhibition and it is all about FAIRYTALES and I of course absolutely loved it 😍 The night opened with a welcome speech and then a reading of a brand new Michael Rosen story written especially for this with illustrations projected all over the lobby. And then we were allowed to explore the exhibition and it was magical 💫 Combining beautifully crafted interactive set pieces (a princess and the pea bed with a slide! A magic mirror that asks you questions! And my personal fav — a gingerbread house from Hansel&Gretel) alongside incredible illustrations from modern fairytale retellings and concept art from film adaptations (like Disney Cinderella!) and priceless early bound editions of the fairytales we all know and love, this is an exhibition for all fairytale lovers, young and old and everywhere in between. I will absolutely be going back! Plus I saw @sanchitabds from one of the best London bookshops @childrensbookshoplondon and wonderful @mralextsmith who had some of his art featured.

📚❤️📚2026 is the National Year of Reading and we are excited to go all in! As children’s authors and book lovers and parents of young children, we know the magic and power of books. It was a privilege to celebrate the joy and importance of reading at the @literacy_trust gala last week and to support the incredible work they do📚 And we are proud to go all in this year, and every year, to champion literacy and reading📚❤️🙌

A gorgeous night at the @literacy_trust gala that raised over £200,000 to fund the incredible work that they do bringing joy and life-changing benefits of reading to children and adults📚📚📚And it was extra special to be there as a guest author during the National Year of Reading! The night was full of inspiring speeches and readings, including one by @angiethomas , a spirited live auction, and moving testimonials about the power of books. The @premierleague is one of the NLT partners and supporters so as an added bonus we got to see and take a photo with the Premier League trophy which was very exciting 🏆and of course I had to scamper around taking selfies with the amazing authors and illustrators who were there to support☺️
And I am very sure that our table, the @simonkidsuk table, was the most fun one in the room🙌

💛A cozy UK Mother’s Day at home with so many of my favourite things : books and writing and flowers and tea (from the mug I bought the day before my first daughter was born) and homemade waffles🧇 — and spending time with my daughters who I am so grateful for every day 💕 Also very grateful today for my own amazing mom, my wonderful mother-in-law, and all the moms in my life who inspire me — so many friends and fellow authors who do the mom/life dance and of course the women I work with in publishing who manage to be the best at their jobs and also are incredible mothers🙌 you all deserve flowers and lots of appreciation (and hopefully a morning spent sleeping in) 💐

📚Happy World Book Day from the Tsang crew! We love World Book Day — a celebration of reading and books and imagination💛 This year our daughters dressed as panda sisters from Rescue Zoo: The Playful Panda🐼🐼 and we dressed as characters from one of favourite classic children’s books, Peter Pan💚 I have loved visiting schools this week and meeting so many engaged and enthusiastic young readers — it is so special seeing how books let their imaginations soar! And this World Book Day feels extra special because 2026 is the National Year of Reading!
