Dieser Comic kommt komplett ohne Worte aus. Keine Sprechblasen, keine Captions. Und trotzdem, oder gerade deshalb, fesselt die Geschichte von der ersten bis zur letzten Seite. Gefühlt irgendwo zwischen Manga und franko-belgisch, sprühen die Panels vor Dynamik und Emotion. Tolle Mimiken, glaubwürdige Gesten. Die Liz ist ein echtes Comic Talent und zeigt eindrucksvoll, dass es keine ausufernde Backstory oder übererklärtes Worldbuiling braucht, um gespannt einer Geschichte folgen zu wollen (ja, oft stört es sogar!).
Oh, und das ganze auch noch analog gezeichnet. Das gibt von mir natürlich noch extra Respekt!

This comic gets by entirely without words. No speech bubbles, no captions. And yet—or perhaps precisely because of that—the story captivates from the first page to the last. With a style that feels like a cross between manga and Franco-Belgian comics, the panels burst with energy and emotion. Great facial expressions, believable gestures. Liz is a true comic talent and impressively demonstrates that you don’t need a sprawling backstory or overly elaborate world-building to want to follow a story with excitement (yes, often it’s even a distraction!).
Oh, and it’s all drawn by hand, too. That earns my extra respect, of course!
