I write this at the breakfast table overlooking the Atlantic having spent the past days in the Caribbean celebrating love. I think to my childhood reading the business & style sections of the NYT with my grandad. Here I am, in it.
May God continue to bless this momentous life of mine & rid it of all things w / no place in my forward trajectory.

My first styling credit — and first time on a MET carpet.
Seeing the nuance, craftsmanship, and HOURS of work all come together brings a distinct level of respect, and serves as a reminder of how God grants more than what we expect. Every time.
I didn’t work on Teyana’s or Winnie’s look this year, but with THEE architect, my cancerian brother, (& Chicago’s finest) on 6 others who walked the carpet that night. One of whom happens to be co-chair for tomorrow’s gala.
So much about this clip encapsulates the je ne sais quoi of MET Monday and why this work means so much to so many.

Dreams to fruition.
I hope this reaches a kid on south side of Chicago, perhaps watching the Devil Wears Prada or seeing an Edward Enninful editorial in Italian Vogue for the first time.
