Circa 1990.
Thirty five rolled in quietly in the cool of July. Funny enough, thirty did the same in the middle of a pandemic. Different seasons, similar playbook… with a little depth.
No big party. Endless thoughts... 5 months postpartum, and a deeply rich community.
A new season and a new age colliding with a quiet beautiful intensity. 🫶🏾
The years have taught me that seasons roll by quicker than we feel in the moment. The days may seem long, but the years are indeed short. And these days more than ever I recognize the importance of being intentional with how I live.
A “late” reflective post being imagery of my desire to live slow. To consciously push back against the urge to follow society’s “timelines” that don’t serve me well. To take pleasure in the magic of ordinary days.
There are no 5 or 10 year plans or goals. Not yet anyway… Only a deep yearning and commitment to be intentional with all I do - being present with family, building lasting friendships, cultivating relationships within community, and representing the One who made me in His image.
As long as the Lord wills… The days will be slow. The chats meaningful. The seasons ever moving. A beautiful picture of grace in the becoming. 💕
