"GROTESQUE", 2026 (PROZENT) The work represents a hybrid creature performing an act of mimicry within the context of its humanization. Through the exploration and representation of the grotesque, the work exposes the spectacle as a technology for shaping normality; a mechanism that "consumes" the uncanny to confirm the "normal". VARIATIONS ON A SPOMENIK, Participation in the exhibition MANIFESTO146, Former Military Factory – Apostolakis Park – Nea Chalkidona, 14 & 15 November 2025 Workplace accidents represent the violent culmination of exploitation within the framework of the capitalist production process. Labor violence, a structural condition of a normalized regime of precarity and arbitrariness in the workplace, is systematically excluded from collective consciousness, sustaining a distorted image of labor reality. At the same time, public space, as a field of conflict par excellence, functions as a means of imposing specific narratives, through which collective memory is shaped and ultimately inscribed in the social body. Monuments, as a public form of art, are included in the field of spectacle and participate in the mechanisms of representation of power. VARIATIONS ON A SPOMENIK constitutes a series of monumental interventions in public space, developing variations on the Monument to the Battle of Klis by the Serbian architect Bogdan Bogdanović. Through the re-signification of the Spomenik, the work presents the counter-monument as a political form of intervention that challenges the conjunction of monumentality and power, while simultaneously activating a critical reflection on the contemporary labor regime and the social inequalities it produces.
