Every year on this day, I remember. My body remembers. 4/25 ❤️ This week is National Infertility Awareness Week. If you’re in it right now ( in the shots, the pills, the waiting, the losses, the silence), I want you to know you are not alone. I know because I’ve been there. I know the particular loneliness of a journey nobody sees. The way your body becomes a battlefield. The way you learn to hold grief and hope in the same hand. Infertility is TORTURE. It is isolating. It is demeaning. It makes you feel the smallest, the weakest, when in reality you are the strongest, the bravest. What a long burn it can be. To anyone reading this: I am so sorry for the heavy uncertainty of this season. If you are feeling invisible, I see you. Your pain is real. Your body is not failing you — it is holding more than most people will ever understand. And whatever your journey looks like, however it ends or continues or surprises you, your story matters. Four days on the French Riviera. ✨ I still have goosebumps. @engagesummits is one of those experiences that reminds you why this industry is so special: the people, the energy, the level of CRAFT in the room. Truly magical. I had the privilege of speaking on the legal side of working across borders (facilitated by @anjawinikka of @joinfreeda ). When you are producing luxury events internationally, whether that is France, Mexico or anywhere else in the world- the beauty is visible, while the risk is a lot of times… quiet. We talked about where your contract actually lives when you are working internationally. We talked about cultural expectations versus contractual ones. We talked about currency, taxes, and the importance of frequently auditing your business and your contracts for gaps — because what protected you two years ago may not be protecting you today. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I sometimes joke that I am the boogeyman of passion-fueled businesses. I show up and point to everything hiding in the dark. Not to scare you. But because you deserve to build something that is actually protected. So much is going on in the world right now that I almost didn’t post this. Lol even in this moment right now, I almost didn’t post. I had scheduled this post a looong time ago but - so many buts!! I’ve been looking forward to this day for months! I have to do this. March 4th to me is more than a date. It’s a command. An instruction. It’s the day to march forth and do the things we’ve been dreaming about. So with that in mind, I’ll go first. I’m writing a book. It’s called FORTH. Born out of my KOnfessionals, FORTH is the book I needed and couldn’t find. A narrative confession of digging deep, interrogating the root, and calling your true self forth. For the woman who lost her voice somewhere between who she is and who everyone needed her to be. Who dimmed her own light and forgot she was the one holding the switch. FORTH calls her forward. I’ve always said there’s rice at home and truly this book is a literal depiction of that. In the book, I’m NOT telling you what to do. I’m telling you what I did. What I didn’t. What I’m still figuring out. And somewhere in my confession, you might find your permission. ❤️ I know some are thinking “another thing she’s doing?” 🤷🏾‍♀️ . I know I am called to do many things. And I refuse to let what I’ve been called to do suffocate inside me because it “looks like” im doing too much. So here we go. One foot in front of the other, marching FORTH.
