There was a time when life was softer… when the aroma of miyan kuka filled the whole compound and mama Anayi's voice echoed from the kitchen, “Dan ida'li tiza yenje tiwa ti chamcham..translated as Come and eat before it gets cold” 😊 Maman Anayi would serve us in those bright rubber plates yellow, blue, green, each one holding not just food, but love, laughter, and the warmth of home. We’d sit cross-legged on the mat sweating from the steam, fighting over who got the bigger meat 😅, but you know what, na me she dey always give big meat, her auta 😆before now she has Kunanzang Benjamin as her latest auta 😆 , tohh jema'a when was the last time you ate in a rubber plate? 😆 😔 those days, food had a soul… and every swallow carried a memory.
