Timehop back to July 2021. That time @sarah.blonde and I flew to Atlanta to manage logistics for the Ye’s Donda album listening event and he didn’t even have a track finished to listen to. Sarah convinced them not to give away t-shirts if they didn’t have enough for everyone as it would cause a riot. A filled to the brim stadium was packed full of fans who watched him walk around as unfinished tracks played. The Ye marketing team ended up selling the t-shirts instead of giving them away after a volunteer team was asked to rip out the (won’t say which) brand labels from each shirt. Prices started out reasonable then quickly escalating to $500 and upwards with some people buying multiples at a time. Crazy town. Fan pic of her own t-shirt creation (not the tees sold).

I had the honor of creating the Ofrenda again this year and putting together the team to build it.
Every Ofrenda builds itself and it’s always such a journey to create. I called on my ancestors and the love for my Mother when sourcing all the elements. Built in loving memory of my dear friend @djchickengeorge Thank you to @aliebigdesigns@jetsetsen and the rest of the team. And thank you to @nyc_beth for coming out and taking our team photo and process shots. 🙏🏿♥️
A project close to my heart, in partnership with @sarah.blonde we were asked to partner with @tequilacazadores to help them pop up for their Dia De Los Muertos events at Dallas city hall and Sam Houston Park in downtown Houston hosted by @ddlm_usa . We produced and curated their presence and I had the privilege of designing and building their offrendas. It was a special day and built in honor of loved ones past.
