This is our first time staying in this area and we are completely obsessed.
I so often see families saying Tokyo feels overwhelming with young kids, but this is your gentle reminder that there’s so much more to this beautiful city than just Shinjuku and Shibuya ❤️
Slow mornings, little cafes, playgrounds, tree-lined streets, kids riding bikes through the park… it feels like a totally different side of Tokyo.
Also, I don't recommend Inokashira Park Zoo… we just paid the entrance fee ($4) to use the play equipment for the kids. 💙

If you're planning a trip to Japan… highly recommend adding in Okinawa especially if you have little ones!
A day at Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. The girls had the time of their lives - big chance Yumi will grow up to be a photographer.… no fish was safe from her lens. Finished the day with the best meal of the trip so far… Shabu Shabu Abu pork 🤤
Feeling completely touched out and then missing them as soon as they’re asleep. Counting down to bedtime and then scrolling through photos of them once the house is quiet. Exhaustion and gratitude living side by side every single day.

The adventure begins. First stop Sydney for a bonus catchup with our people before heading to Tokyo! Every time Will and I visit we get to reminisce on our life pre-kids… what a time 🤣 Ari missed her nap and we found out she still very much needs said nap but all in all a successful travel day with the nuggets 💕
