This year has been a hell of a ride. Started it by losing our home in the Palisades Fire along with everything in it. We also said goodbye to our sweet dog Buddy.
Honestly, it took me until October for my nervous system to rest. I don't even remember the weeks after the fires.
Here is what I do remember.
@kathleenkunklerkc &
@brooketodare saving our lives. Giving us a place of refuge, no questions asked. The quite literally gave us their home to heal. Words aren't enough.
@coachcoriclose and
@uclawbb - giving us a duffle bag full of UCLA gear. Because we left with only a few items.
@hallylead sending us golf gear from Nike.
@bunkerclubla sending a box full of clothes for us to wear.
@jenniferlkeene bringing us bath towels and home products.
@ang_cos donating wine tasting dollars to us to rebuild.
@ddcaldwell15 setting up a link to help us get back on our feet.
@harshaldave checking in every day.
@ryangowhari & the
@spruzzo.la community lifting each other up through tears and laughter. The staff at Martha's who comforted us when we realize we lost everything.
@marisachicaramirez and
@amycmabry surprising me to make a special birthday in the midst of chaos.
Evan, Seb, Cromwell, Fish, Jill, Lisa, Jules, Diane - all showing up for a meal or drink or a laugh. A summer of fun with Sia and Taylor. My niece and nephew for making me smile. The Fasano family for everything.
@evan_unrau @miss.seb.33 @true_fishtales @coach_cromwell @jaeddleman @ddcummins @sia.hubman @taynstrong @fasano.theresa @treenatrainor @kenney.lauren @jillashleybrandt @lisajett
The list goes on and on. So grateful for my wife. The best partner in life. Time is our only real currency. Spend it well and have a happy new year.
