Over the last week, in response to Sora and other AI generated imagery, I have seen an uptick in artists asking for language they can use to try to protect their images from being used to train LLM. Here is the language @apostrophereps tries to add to contracts. While it isn’t always accepted as is, it’s a good place to start your negotiation from, should you choose. Thank you to the @artistmanagementassociation for their role in providing resources that have helped our team develop this language. We debated coming to #Maui considering the devastation from the fires. I’m happy to report, this beautiful island is open for business. What the locals say is that they NEED you to come! Their economy runs on tourism. Just be smart and don’t go to fire site and be patient as service may be a little slower. But the people here are beautiful and you’ll have the best time. @visit.maui #mauistrong #mauifire @andazmaui
A year ago, we were shaving my head, preparing for the cancer battle ahead. Today we’re soaking up some sun at a little winter break. Cancer can give odd gifts. My has gifted me with immense gratitude for life. I’m so thankful for everyday with my beautiful family.
Yesterday was a big day for me and my family. We got to ring that bell! It was so important to me that my kids got to ring it alongside me. It’s been a long journey, about a year since my diagnosis and 11 months of treatment- from clinical trials to chemo, surgery to radiation. I’m not done yet, as there are further pills and shots to take for another 5 years. But the most invasive part of this journey, the part my kids most vividly experienced - losing my hair, mama not being able to get off the couch, ports protruding from my body, those are hopefully behind me. Thank you @thomtez for being the most amazing father and husband. You are my rock. @arathicole thank you for feeding my family and being such an incredible friend. @jfazz22 for listening and being so supportive. I’m so thankful you moved to LA. @br3ndag3 For taking care of my family like it’s your own. And to my @apostrophereps community. I couldn’t have done this with out the support of my ATeam and my artists. My heart is so full of love.
I cannot recommend enough going through a massive home renovation while battling cancer. 🤦🏻♀️ in all seriousness, it will be gorgeous when it’s done and I can’t wait for our summer pool parties after all this chemo business. And yes, I’m crazy. But you knew that and love me for my particular brand of nutso. 🤪 Thanks @thomtez for never saying no to me. You warned me. I didn’t listen. I love you. Soon we’ll have smooth stucco! 🥰
I posted some of these photos and videos to my stories this weekend. I appreciate all of the outpouring of love and support. I’m writing now as a post so I can send out a bit of a PSA. I didn’t find my breast cancer because I was feeling poorly or because I felt the lumps. I found it on a routine mammogram. Even after it was detected, I still couldn’t feel the lumps Typically, I put myself last on the list for doctors appointments. Preventative care appointments are so important. Thankfully, I caught it early because of that mammogram and my prognosis is looking good. If you wanna follow on my cancer journey, you’ll find a link to my CaringBridge in my profile.
