Friends and communities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, we need you !❤️ @its_3mr_okay and I are organising an urgent fundraiser for Lebanon and Iran at @exitglasgow on Friday 24th of April. We are lucky to be joined by an amazing lineup of SWANA DJs/artists, @algooey , @ktab_gla and @222babychai 💫 expect to hear a variety of sounds, including but not limited to selections from North Africa, Iran and the wider MENA region along with experimental / club sounds. Many people in Lebanon face displacement due to the ongoing war. Families in Iran are facing displacement too, as well as repression by their state, not to mention imprisonment of protesters and severe economic hardship. This event aims to raise funds to provide direct support where it is urgently needed. Funds raised during the night support two causes. For Lebanon, we are supporting @havenforartists an organisation that provides emergency aid in Lebanon. This includes shelter support, essential supplies and warm meals for displaced families. For Iran, we raise funds for the Iranian grassroots charity @free_themnow . The organisation campaigns for the release of political prisoners, works to overturn death sentences issued to protesters and provides financial support for displaced families. Tickets are on a sliding scale, please choose what you can afford. 100% of money raised will be going to the above organisations! A resident at RBV, you can catch KTAB’s productions on The Mineral Tea Show where he serves up a monthly dose of vital sonic minerals.

📣 ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 On Saturday 3rd May, we’re bringing you The Sound of Collective Action – a night of music, movement and solidarity at Stereo, Glasgow, in aid of Refuweegee and Radio Buena Vida. This special fundraiser celebrates two grassroots organisations at the heart of the city: 💛 Refuweegee – a community-led charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers with essential resources and a Glaswegian welcome. 🎙️ Radio Buena Vida – a not-for-profit radio station based in Govanhill, dedicated to platforming underrepresented voices and championing musical diversity. Expect an evening of non-electronic, percussive and instrumental DJ sets, designed to be open, accessible, and joyful for all.
