Two pals from Glasgow now making regular ruckus in London and beyond. They're both supernatural conjurors of those full-bodied chuggy wonky trippy trancey dark sexy ever-so-slightly-naff bangers that we absolutely adore.
We've been big fans of each of them separately for a few years now - Peanut through her fantastic Noods show "Slow Roasted" and Pigeon through his excellent YouTube channel. A handful of tunes they've introduced us to have been written into ETN lore, none more so than Steve's unearthing of the '93 Dub Remix of Chris Isaak's Wicked Game (Danny Dyer's wedding tune, fun fact.)
But as we heard more mixes and record releases from them they ascended to the very top of our list of dream bookings. As a duo, combining Peanut's gothic drama and Pigeon's razor-sharp sense of fun, we imagined they'd fuse into a tune-spinning fantasy the likes of which had never been seen.
And that was before we discovered they've been best pals since they were weans in Glesga! (Treasure on the last slide as a reward for scrolling to the end โบ๏ธ)
So yes we're highly excited to have them close out the do next Friday!

We can't wait to welcome DJ Peanut back into the fold.
After drifting through a few of our London parties in the past, it felt inevitable weโd pull her properly into the booth. A regular on Noods and Kindred, sheโs traced her path through Spanners, Ormside, Berkeley, La Cheetah and Subby always slightly off-centre, always a bit sideways.
Expect a slow burn trip through downtempo, dark, psychedelic, chuggy, oddball terrainโฆ the kind of set that warps the room and leaves things feeling pleasantly unfamiliar.
Very excited to have her with us for this one.

Swooping in from Toronto! Bangladeshi-Canadian via Tokyo and Glasgow, combining soundsystem-ready bass and breaks with traditional folk music, Raf's new live show is a dubbed-out kaleidoscopic rendition of last summer's smash hit album Ekbar. (see Headfirst for more)

Yes he's back. Our very own Chukwudi has been basking on beaches in Rio de Janeiro for over a year soaking up sun and samba. Now he's returned to this shitty island and he's cold and miserable. The only thing keeping him sane is the thought of laying down some supa hot chuggy fire to heat up the dance ready for Raf to shell it down. Witness the litness. Vai fazer calor!

Went for a folky/ ambient/ mellow vibe with this one to see out the dregs of winter. Been visiting and thinking about home a lot, so thereโs lots of treats from up that way. New ones from the Spritz Edition and Somewhere Press V/A compliations, older one from a Two Years of Spring compilation, Susannah Stark and Dalia Neis, our biy Dan, and then some other totally non Glasgow adjacent bits that I just think are pretty nice.
Bonus loch pics, rare east coast train journey home and a clip of the last Susannah Stark performance I seen @ theatreship (mesmerising as always)
