thank you for all the love on my new track. it wouldn’t have been possible without this stellar team of dedicated, fine artists.
i can’t wait to make more. the process is testing, but always fulfilling.
make YOUR art at YOUR pace and make it mean something to you, all else is ultimately unsustainable (for me, at least).

surprise! new single out now‼️
i worked so hard to create something that reflected the melancholy and beauty of my struggles over the last 8 months with the loss of my father, picking up the remnants of my family and seeking my sense of self without my main inspiration to lean on being there anymore.
for my entire life, ive struggled to understand my perception of the world, and i always thought that was my biggest weakness, but after months of healing and reassurance from special people, im beginning to find myself anew, and step into being/knowing myself. how could i take for granted the part of me that allows me to create such a unique experience in a world where artistry is devalued and deteriorating?
i hope you enjoy this song. please share it if you do or value the work we do. i loved creating it and working with Gretel and Na’amah was such a privilege.
to the people who’ve been there for me through this, thank you
happy nz music month!
🚨 HEAVENLY FEAT. LEPANI - OUT DECEMBER 12TH.
my first new single in years drops next week and it is going to be hot 🔥 thank you for your patience and unending love - this one is an early gift to you. 🎁
i assembled the underground (my favourite musicians in the land) and lured them to the fertile soils of @poyntonstudios - the rest was history. i look forward to sharing this work with you and reminding you why im the 🐐 (if my debut album, grief sessions, wasn’t enough proof) - no one is doing it like im doing it, and if you could be a fly on the wall in a day of my life, you’d know that in an instant. thank you for your support!
until next Friday, STREAM GRIEF SESSIONS AGAIN! 💿

Rest in peace, dad. thanks for one last Father’s Day. im sorry you never got to try your gift. im sorry for never wanting to go to class as a kid. im sorry for stealing fivers out your wallet. im sorry for thinking i was the man. im sorry for calling you old man. im sorry for drinking all your wine. im sorry for deciding to be a musician. thank you for tolerating it all. thank you for supporting me through it all. thank you so fucking much.
ill make you proud someday. rest and let your legacy live on for lifetimes. thank you again & keep the drinks cool up there, i look forward to our next cheers. see you later, father. 🥂
honoured to be playing one of my favourite albums of all time with a 70-something member choir and full band at the auckland town hall concert chamber this thursday
🎫 it’ll be a sellout - less than 30 tickets left - get yours here @stimmungchoir 🎫
absolutely loving being able to hustle as a drummer, composer, producer and mentor lately. a humbling position to be in, pivoting from theatre spaces, recording studios, live venues and the teaching studio.
helping stories resonate throughout some of the coolest venues with the most badass creatives in the country has been a dream. highlights being working with the stellar, beautiful @brady_cakes88 , filling in with the ever-inspiring @paigesspace for the goat @damo_iv_v_vi , and forever supporting my favourite artist @congretelations !
what’s next? some of the coolest stuff ive been apart of is on the horizon, very blessed and grateful for this art and community. thank you music!
dms always open to talk if you need any help, wisdom, support or just an ear! happy nz music month!
after having finished my debut album i coulda sworn i was done with the whole independent artist making shit that’s way too expensive & expansive for the love of it lifestyle, but the devious minds at @poyntonstudios had other ideas and lured me back into their beautiful, creative haven.
towards the tail end of ‘24 i, with the help of MANY, recorded my second independent album. i put care into every bar, every note, every person, every relationship, every nuance, and every feeling that goes into these records, and whilst i shy away from self promo and the industry contemplates what my role in any of this even is (WHAT? you don’t… sing…?), ill let the music communicate the effort and care that goes into nurturing it into existence.
over 15 of akl’s hottest creatives, musicians, visionaries all on the same record, it’s a rarity, and it will stay that way until @creativenz@nzonairmusic and others let me do it more often instead of chucking it over to more “established” artists.
have a blessed new year and hmu to get some of me on your recording projects 🪇🥁
i poured everything i had into my debut album, Grief Sessions, and it’s surreal to see it still being appreciated, almost two years later.
but this isn’t a post about me dwelling on the past, it’s a post to say ive taken my time, recharged with the assistance of @patron and with the help of the beautiful team at @poyntonstudios and by the graces of God and the ones watching over me, album #2 is in conception and to be in the universe soon, with recording starting today
to all my musicians and vocalists, i can’t wait to share this space with you and to create something that reflects the underground
yours truly
been on a journey as of late! being able to play the music i love alongside getting lessons from my new teacher @raphael_pannier has restored my passion for my instrument again hahaha. i feel way more “me” when im at my best/seeking improvement on the kit. also, @congretelations is the best ✨ and so is her music. thank you for the opportunity!
shoutout @cordialstudios for the lovleh space and @christiantjandrawinata for capturing the session ❤️🔥💭☀️
