When Sarah Copeland visits the studio she stuffs me full of gorgeous vegetables, fruit, cheese- so much goodness… So that I can then go home for a dinner of potato chips and gin.
The decorative painting throughout the Six Bells, by artist Wally Whitehurst, is extraordinary. A story of forbidden love between a vicar and a noblewoman unfolds in the Lamplight Suite, pictured above. I only got a sneak peak- see if you can get one too!
It was a pleasure to photograph @peterdaverington in his remarkable home, an ever evolving canvas, for the @nytimes . Link to Kevin Noble Maillard’s article about this ‘Romantic Idealist’ in stories…
My thanks to Photo Editor, Jessie Schwartz for the assignment.
This was a bathroom in Galveston, TX.
That town exists like a dream in my memory. I have no idea how I got there or where I stayed… But I toured The Bishop’s Palace at one point and really fell for the bathrooms.
