our september release comes from @jaap_dubz with his ‘Rave Matter’ LP, out september 13
Jaap is a passionate dj and producer from Greece who is known for performing at small events and bars occasionaly in his hometown and in Thessaloniki. His styles of electronic music ranges mostly genres such as UK Bass, Dubstep and more. He has done various releases on The Delirium Project, Sublimated Sounds, NWSideConnect, Stairwell Dubs and more to come through platforms and collectives around the world that can host up and coming artists with talents from various backgrounds like Jaap. As he produced more Dubstep and UK Bass and some breakbeats this mini album started with the idea of celebrating 20 years in rave culture and state of mind, that’s why it’s called “Rave Matter” and its the first release of Jaap with DnB rollers oldschool style and raw sound design. manifolds is the alias of Jacob Kosberg, a Long Beach-based music producer whose initial musical contributions in the mid-2010s included releases on Slo:Wave, radio plays on Plastician’s Rinse FM show, and a feature on VISION Radio. manifolds takes upon numerous sources of inspiration, from old-school dubstep with the grungy, industrial sounds of Distance to the razor sharp productions heard in Youngsta’s Minimal Mondays sets, as well as contemporary, interconnected scenes such as wave music, Low End Theory, and Soulection.
