This project is so close to my heart because working on it helped me get through a pretty rough period in my life. Have channeled all my energies into the making of it. Extra happy about the stories behind the story. To the next one ✨✨✨
“Mihai, mi s-a facut pielea de gaina” - Mr Niki’s reaction to seeing his face on the cover of glamour mag.
I first met Mr Niki, on the set of a video commercial a few years back, he was the driver of the costume van. He was old but he quickly got my attention with his wittiness & cool style. I said to myself that I would love to take him out of that context and put him in the right spot-light one day. He had a natural style that marked my eye & all the ingredients to be part of a great project. Little did he know. Few years forward, when I got the brief for this project, I immediately thought that he would be a perfect match. He was a natural, extremely easy going & easy to work with. A natural swagger. Keeping his cool & being up to do anything we wanted as he liked the project too.
Best part of it all was his reaction to seeing his face on the cover of a magazine. Will forever keep this memory in my heart & he will do the same.
Just broke the matrix with this project.
