He’s witnessed the history of Indian streaming from up close, creating and running three of its most memorable shows: Inside Edge, Mirzapur and Rana Naidu. Now, with Glory, Karan Anshuman (@krnx ) wanted to make a drama that was about family, grief, masculinity and the cost of ambition. “I also wanted it to be more mature and emotional than some of my earlier work,” he told Prannay Pathak (@gregorsamosa ).

#SCREENExclusive: In an exclusive conversation with SCREEN, Karan Anshuman said he never feared comparisons to Mirzapur while casting Divyenndu in Glory.
He described Dev as ‘essentially a good person’, a character drawn deeply from his own personality and experiences.
The director added that he put a lot of himself into the role, even noting they ‘started looking similar’ during the shoot.
He also emphasised that unlike more constructed roles, this character came ‘from the heart’.
