STAK x LARAMAWith a fresh up of our mural happening imminently, we asked the one and only Stak aka Mersh aka Stack Moolah to commit his character to canvas. The OG came through with style and grace, bursting with colour. A little something different with this next one. Five tracks I’d been sitting on for five years, and honestly almost forgotten about. For one reason or another they never made it out, and after a while I wasn’t sure if their moment had passed. Then Kris and I got talking this past winter while we were in Australia, planning out some upcoming music. He brought up these tracks again, like he’d do from time to time. Somehow, this time something clicked. Interesting what being away from home does to your perspective. These tracks all come from a particular period, a specific mood and studio setup I haven’t really revisited since. That’s maybe partly why shelving them always felt easier than putting them out. But either way, shoutout to Kris for having the vision and staying persistent!So here they are, out on a new sub label May 22nd, all freshly mastered. A memento of this day for my soul mate. Had I known what I know now, it would have been appropriate to mark the occasion last year while our son was in your belly... you were a mother from the first sign of new life.Thank you for the journey, it is the most profound thing to see your body and mind nurture a little bud. Sundays at SystèmeWe have the absolute joy to be part of this Plaza palace! Newly revamped in to a full blown club, stay locked as we use this day of the week to present you a mix of long time friends and new faces.This week @krisguilty and @clairelabs finally link up for a proper b2b. Friends for over a decade, it is finally time to mash it up for the Sunday crew.Music starts at 8pm and runs to 1am.
