Salam,
Krack! Printmaking Collective
Good afternoon, dear friends of Krack,
It is with heavy hearts that we inform you that on Friday, July 4, 2025, at approximately 2:30 AM WIB, a fire broke out at Krack! Printmaking Studio.
For your information, Krack! is divided into three main areas:
* Gallery Area (Ground Floor)
* Common Room Area (Ground Floor)
* Printmaking Studio and Storage Area (Second Floor)
The fire occurred in the Printmaking Studio and Storage Area (Second Floor). Thanks to the swift response of the Fire Department, the flames were successfully contained and extinguished by around 6:00 AM WIB, preventing the fire from spreading to other areas.
Our current priority is to rescue and secure any artworks that can still be salvaged from within the building. Once the situation is declared safe, we will conduct an internal investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire, as well as begin documenting both the affected and saved works and assets.
We kindly ask for your prayers, support, and understanding as we work through this challenging time. We hope for a smooth recovery and look forward to welcoming you back in a stronger and more spirited condition.
Warm regards,
Krack! Printmaking Collective

Pasar Malam/Night Market: Contemporary printmaking from Indonesia and Australia
Opening Friday 8 May, 6PM
A Krack Studio Exhibition in partnership with 16albermarle Project Space.
At the night market, you can buy fake Rolex watches, fried grasshoppers and amulets with “magical” powers. Skinny guys with tattoos operate carnival rides that aren’t safe. There’s a haunted house and a giant python. Gangsters, pickpockets and revolutionaries lurk in the shadows.
Pasar Malam (Night Market) is an immersive exhibition of screen-printed works exploring the transgressive spaces that exist in our communities. Each artwork has been created by Krack Studio in collaboration with leading Indonesian and Australian artists.
Presented alongside work by Leyla Stevens and Ida Lawrence, the three interconnected exhibitions form an Indonesian season at WFAC and an opportunity to consider Indonesia’s cultural life and printmaking output. Engaging activities include artist led printmaking workshops, as well as a night of festival, cultural performances and food, a pasar malam staged here at WFAC.
