From recording Jon banging on a table and playing banjo in a tour bus with an SM58 to being a fly on the wall when the title song was written, to sending edits back and forth across the country with JB while @nickwaterhouse@cubansoze and the crew cut new ideas, to marathon sessions at @electricladystudios with Russ and finally helping tie everything together by creating the @dolbylabs mixes based on the pristine touch of @sharp_stick and Russ; it’s been quite the ride and I’m honored to be apart of this Grammy win. Thank you to all the voters and to you @jonbatiste for your never ending light, creativity and trust 🙏🏾

Fun fact @kquickofficial & I actually used to direct music videos together & he’s basically the reason for the first time I got hired as a tour videographer. Fast forward like ten years later he’s been helping me get my sound right whether it’s albums I produced for other artist like Kou Donnie or my own music.
Anything I put out you probably see @kquickofficial ‘s name involved somewhere but we haven’t worked on producing to much music together. Today we change that.
And when I need a fire verse to go along with a hook if don’t wanna write more I’m calling @amerikou_
