Building the future begins with igniting passion in the next generation!
We had an incredible time welcoming Lincoln High School students to our KPFF San Diego office through the READI (Real Estate, Architecture, Design & Innovation) program. This opportunity offered the students an exclusive look into the fascinating world of structural engineering.
Their curiosity and enthusiasm were truly infectious, leaving our team feeling energized. Thanks for stopping by!

Strong showing all around at this year’s push-up competition!
Participants brought plenty of energy and a few sounds of steady determination to the office breakroom. We raised $475 for charity and our Principal, Eric Lehmkuhl, completed the most push-ups. Way to lead by example, Eric!
Thank you to everyone who joined in this perfect mix of friendly competition, team spirit, and giving back.

It’s exciting to be part of a movement that’s redefining how we build!
From traditional materials to emerging systems, our work continues to evolve alongside the industry. With experience in Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) and Glue-Laminated Timber (glulam), KPFF supports projects that reflect the growing role of mass timber across the U.S.

Extending a huge welcome to Elephant Valley, the recently completed San Diego Zoo Safari Park experience offering impressive views of these gentle giants.
This new exhibit passage and picnic area introduces an immersive path through Elephant Valley, complete with African-inspired entry structures, viewing decks, rustic railings, and shaded palapas along the way.
The experience also connects to the Trunk House, a new 3-story restaurant and event space, through an elevated walkway that helps keep the whole area moving—trunks and all. Beyond the exhibit path, the regraded picnic area now accommodates up to 5,000 guests with permanent tents, themed stages, and a main event stage.
KPFF is grateful to have provided structural engineering services for a project designed for both big gatherings and even bigger residents!
