Ended 2025 and started 2026 in epic fashion in fabulous Las Vegas. The not-so-tiny tiny human turned 12 so we ventured into the wild world of Omega Mart. Gathered the family for a Bagelmania brunch complete with a legendary Fruity Pebbles milkshake for the legend himself. Set a high score at the Pinball Hall of Fame. Then the most beautiful woman in town (in any town really) @vmdenunzio and I rang in 2026 with a phenomenally delicious dinner, laughed until we couldn’t breathe at Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club to one of the best standup sets I’ve seen in a long time (kudos Gabriel Rutledge), and then we raised our glasses and sent off 2025 with a toast and another laugh and stayed up well past our bedtime! A latke and brisket sandwich, fries with a gravy so good you’ll dream about it, a stroll down the Strip, shops under a cotton candy ceiling, and one new jacket that is in danger of becoming part of my personality. I’d say 2026 is off to a fantastic start!

Twelve. Holy buckets this enigma that is Ace is twelve today! Twelve years. Twelve years of unhinged comments and questions. Twelve years of stand-up inspiration. Twelve years of belly laughs. Twelve years of my best friend. Twelve years of incredible memories. Twelve years of Ace. Contained within those years have been years of Tiny Baseball, more than a few special encounters, a couple of costumes and one broken foot that could’ve been avoided if he just listened to me. I don’t know what the next twelve years looks like but if the first batch has showed me anything, they’re going to be a little unexpected, a little ridiculous, and a helluva lot of fun! Love you buddy!

A Thanksgiving for the books! Pictured: Trent the turkey (in his final and delicious form). A sweet potato casserole so good that it’ll make you smack your mama (respectfully). A trio of pies that if left unattended on a window sill would be gone in a heartbeat. A tie for the most adorable decorations and salt & pepper shakers. A happy Packers fan. The most stunning and effortlessly fun cook any side of the Mississippi who pulls off themed overalls better than I can wear anything. Not pictured: The bevy of sides that were consumed. Had the absolute pleasure and delight to celebrate two of the most genuine and kind people as they stood under a chuppah and exchanged beautiful rings and even more beautiful vows. So many mazels to @mollyneu and @devinberko ! Thank you for letting us celebrate you! And I’d say we looked damn good doing so. Well, @vmdenunzio did for sure! It’s been a bucket list year and yesterday I got to check another box! We had the premiere of “animal.” the film I had the pleasure of producing. This is a documentary about the carnivore diet in a way that hasn’t been done before, and I am sure will spark a ton of conversations! I got to work with such incredibly talented crew, including some people I hadn’t had the pleasure of working with before and can’t wait to work with again. And some others whom I’ve shared sets with for years and who continue to foolishly take my calls. A few special shoutouts are in order. @joshua1san , our Director, whose vision was so clear from the very beginning that the end product looks like his treatment came to life. @kevncarter who was in the producing trenches with me and who wasn’t afraid to roll up his sleeves and dive into anything. @vinnylingham , our Executive Producer, whom none of this would’ve been possible without. @realbrooklynhudson was a true Swiss Army knife for us. @elijahsenn made some real post magic over some incredibly late nights. There are so many more folks, and I hope everyone knows how much I appreciate what they brought to this project. The premiere was an absolute blast, and I think these pictures speak for themselves! And my goodness did we look good! Talk about a bucket list item. Opening the box and seeing an Emmy statue with my name on it was so incredibly surreal. A special moment that I’ll never forget everything about it. 11 years. My goodness. I can’t believe my best bud is 11 already. They say time flies when you’re having fun, and that is the only possible explanation for how these years have flown by. Ace (and yes, I’m going to make sure you read this one day in the near future), you are a remarkable person. You leave a positive impression on everyone you meet. You’re incredibly extra (no clue where that comes from), sweet, kind, and you crack me up all of the time. Whether you mean to or not. Being your dad continues to be the greatest job I’ve ever had. And I’ve had some cool jobs. My wish for you this next year is that you continue to find and use tools to be the best version of yourself you can be. Slowing down when you need to. Leading with your heart but also using your head. Being a team player but not being afraid to shine. And knowing that no matter what, you can ask me for anything. Tho don’t be surprised if you ask to go to Nobu and I say no. But don’t stop asking anyway! Happy birthday to my (getting less and less tiny by the day) tiny man. I hope that a year from now you can look back and say that you had more days where o were happy than where you weren’t. I love you!

Forgive the self-indulgence post for a minute, but it’s not often you get to check off one of the top things on your Bucket List. In 2024 I got to mark “Be nominated for an Emmy” and “Attend the Emmys Ceremony.” Both were huge for me and I didn’t take them for granted. But there was one above them both that I get to check off just before the calendar changes: WIN AN EMMY! I don’t have the proper words to describe how happy and thrilled I am, but just know I’m all of them and more. Our show “Well Versed” had a goal of teaching kids about civics and being a good and active citizen. The original songs had to be informative, age appropriate and above all else they had to be damn good songs that kids would like! Coupled with animation that had to be engaging and with characters that kids could relate to. We met that goal across the board. We had an amazing animation team in Moonbug. We worked with iCivics to ensure the curriculum needs were properly met. And had an incredible group of partners at Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. We launched the series with First Lady Jill Biden. And now it is an Emmy Winner!!!! This was my final project I touched while at attn and I couldn’t be more proud of it and the people who I worked so closely with it! If you haven’t watched, it is streaming on Paramount+ and on Nickelodeon’s YouTube. But consider yourself warned, you very well can end up with these songs stuck in your heads! Looks like I gotta make some space on the shelf for some new hardware!

In the vein of “we don’t do it for the awards but it is damn nice to win them” I’m stoked to announce that “Well Versed” has won at the Shorty Awards! This project with Nickelodeon and iCivics to teach kids about civics in a way that will really stick with them was one of the coolest things I’ve ever been a part of. The songs are catchy, the animation is great, and the end product is something that I am deeply proud of! If you haven’t seen them yet, they’re on Nickelodeon’s YouTube and streaming on Paramount+! Massive shoutout to the team that worked on this one!

“The Lost Olympians” is an extremely special project to me. Aside from being the single longest project I’ve worked on in my career, being part of the core group of people charged with telling this incredible story is something I’ll never forget. And while we don’t do this work for the awards, it’s damn nice to get them. Especially at a time where things feel dark, having the light shown on a project all about finding joy in the face of immense hatred makes it that much sweeter.
