Advice to Berlinale attendees. Be careful on the streets. I was assaulted by a group of about 10 youths on Leipziger Str. very near the Mall of Berlin. Around 7:30pm Saturday. I was looking down at my phone — didn’t see what was coming.
I’m fasc by the homeless (or should I say “unhoused”) dogs of Thessaloniki. Their big! And very chill. Several of them hang out along the pier. A local person told me they are indeed a feature of Thessaloniki at least one other Greek city. She told me she thinks families get the dogs as puppies and when they grow big they dump them on the street. She said restaurants feed the doggies.
Viktor Hovland doesn’t look quite human to me. He’s got the wide hips and exceedingly broad shoulders of RoboCop.
Seems like a nice guy and a helluva golfer, but I wonder whether he might have been constructed in a lab.

The portly silhouette of Steve Bannon adorns the poster for The Brink, the documentary by Alison Klayman that opened in theaters this weekend. Bannon’s nationalist, xenophobic ideology is a menace, Klayman and producer Marie Therese Guirgis believe. So is there a risk to letting him spread his message through the film?
