The awards are out! Flick the Bean Won 🥇 Most Creative & Best Humor! 🥇 as voted on by over 20,000 people in 46 cities around the world - wow! Thank you to @humpfilmfest for distributing queer art to the masses. My goal was to show people who identified with our characters that there is a community exactly as wonderful and queer as their dreams, and if they don’t have it already, it’s out there for the finding. We made a brave film, a revolutionary political film, a film staring people who society tries to cover up, and despite the patriarchy and transphobia we managed to make it so darn fun that Flick the Bean has been universally acclaimed and loved by audiences everywhere. I am so proud of our team and what we accomplished! There will be more! We had to cut some pretty great scenes to make the time limit for HUMP! And that means there is more in the tank! Stay tuned for an announcement about the debut of the final version of our film after our rights return to us in 2026! Huge thank you to our cast and crew! To my co creator @fondrafarce - we brought this into the world from nothing! To my amazing fellow filmmakers, @lilmaxlittle the DP @mars.goddess as every other crew roll - together @maxandmarspresent a powerhouse we couldn’t have made the movie without. Seeing our film in a 100 year old cinema palace with 450 people in a one of six sold out shows was an experience to live for, to create for, to be vulnerable for! I was in tears of nerves the morning of the screening. I was in tears of joy at the afterparty! What a wonderful ride, thank you to the gayest city in the world, Portland Oregon!
