I would like to talk a bit about framing. For some reason unknown even to me, I naturally enjoy using double framing in my documentary photography - something I find intriguingly connected to my favourite master of the technique, Alfred Hitchcock. Anyone who has seen Rear Window knows what I’m talking about. This “frame within a frame” always carries a certain tension that draws your attention and makes every photograph more alive.
