Introducing Theatre Write Now Cohort 3!
Over the coming months, these writers will come together each week to develop bold new works that sit at the heart of the artistic community Theatre Write Now continues to build. Through collaboration, experimentation, and rigorous support, Cohort 3 will push new ideas forward from the page toward the stage.

Theatre Write Now returns in 2026, and playwright applications open December 5th!
We are a community centered, volunteer-based program for early career playwrights. Ten writers create ten new plays in twelve weeks, followed by a rehearsal process and public staged readings with emerging performers and directors.
Applications open December 5th and close January 5th. The program begins in late January. Cohort sessions are co-facilitated from artists across the theatre industry!
We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Daisy Theatricals to host our cohort sessions at New York City Center.
