We are proud to present KONTEXT003, the new LP from @a.sl_______ (fka Exthract). A cornerstone of the label since opening our inaugural event at IPSE in August 2024, Anton has spent the last two years meticulously crafting “curated tenderness”. Following a standout live performance last October, this release solidifies his position as Kontext resident. This is the full program of a large collaborative event by Kontext and Closer. On Saturday, March 28th, we invite you to spend the evening, night or the full 16 hours inside Haus der Visionäre, which we reinterpret in our own way, where each visitor may, for a while, allow themselves to become a visionary. We have loosely divided the event into two acts. The evening program begins at 19:00 in the main stage and brings together five live performances and audiovisual works by selected artists of the contemporary electronic scene beyond genre boundaries and the usual stage logic. The second part – the dance, starts at midnight and unfolds across two spaces: an extended immersion in Sonnenraum and an intense movement on the intimate 3. Halle dancefloor, built inside HdV for this night only. Five Closer residents will join the nighttime program. We fill the space with visual sense, creating an immersive and deeply personal experience for the visitor: media works, artistic pieces, and spatial interventions are to be expected. @glovelesss is an Australian-born, Germany-based musician who crafts a submerged fusion of hip hop and ambient music, where heavy 808s are fractured into drifting, levitational pads. His sound dissolves traditional structure into haunted atmosphere, reducing rhythm to a suggestion while melodies flicker through vaporous textures like signals lost in static. Whether through the fragile, recovery-born movements of his 2024 project Ruins or the meditative beat-work of Animals, his work consistently balances sub-bass weight with a sense of quiet, fractured hope. We are honored to welcome @woundeadalex to the Kontext monthly mix series. Based in Kyiv, the DJ and producer stands as one of the most influential figures of the Ukrainian electronic music scene. As a Closer resident, he has shaped the dancefloors through an unconventional approach - navigating electro and broken rhythms with subtle traces of early subcultural sound. Ahead of his performance in Berlin for Kontext x Closer on March 28th, he recorded a mix that reveals another side of his musical language. Kontext behind the mix from Alex: “Lately I’ve collected a lot of records that lean more towards experimental, not really peak-time sound. I wanted to bring them together and let them be heard in a different way. Kontext felt like the right place for that.”
