simply put - yesterday was just a great day of dancing for me! it can be so hard to show up consistently but when you do it enough i think it’s important to acknowledge the weeks where being dialed is easy because of the work that’s been put in at a consistent rate. (especially when it’s inconvenient)

My @krumpislifeofficial brand session was something I needed to create for krump dancers, or street dance in general, to all have a safe place to really heal and forget about whatever happened that scarred them. The mental is too precious of a thing to diminish. You have to allow it to create, imagine, question, display…..but I also made this session just to connect with people who purchase a “Krump Is Life” tee shirt. You don’t get just a shirt, you get an experience. I was blessed to have sold out of this shirt. Thank you to the dancers in Japan who supported the brand.

Krump lesson:
If you check my last video, I talked about “PUNCH ROUND” training. Here is an example where I just let krump happen. What made it better was the song I decided to go crazy on because it made me actually want to dance…..I could have easily chose a krump track but the people needed to see how us krumpers can move to something other than krump tracks.

Here some krump training advice to enhance your freestyle:
Do about 5 punch rounds and record them. What’s a punch round? A punch round is when you dance at high intensity until you want to stop. Record it to study what you want to remove or add. THIS DOES NOT MEAN CHANGING YOUR STYLE TO DANCE FAST. This helps establish a connection between mind and body even at a high intensity.
