I’ve gotten many hours of track time on these studded tires, but it looks like they will not be allowed next year per the new IIRA stud rules. Time to build new ones. Uuugh.

I built these myself using @koldkutter Outlaw and AMA studs. I chose this pattern and indexing after talking to Kold Kutter experts and several others who have made their own studded tires, including Formula Drift driver @rudyhansen119 who gave me some great advice. 🙏🙏

These tires gripped great! The smoother and cleaner the ice is, the better they grip. There was some rotational movement of a few studs, but not much.

The rear tires took the most abuse trying to transfer 620hp to the ice. They eventually began to leak air so I added some winter specific, large granule tire sealant and that did the trick. Sealed tight and they never leaked down again. The fronts continued to hold air just fine from only the windshield adhesive used on the inside around the screw when built them.

These were used on my 2019 Mercedes Benz C63S with a Stage 1 tune from @eurochargedmpls 💪🤘
