✈️ Out of Office – Annual Leave 🌴 Just a quick update! I’m away on holiday from 05/05/2026 and will be back in the workshop on 22/05/2026. During this time, I won’t be taking on any work, but bookings are being taken from 01/06/2026 (we are already rammed when we land back). As always, existing customers will be given priority before new bookings are confirmed. Don’t worry though, content isn’t stopping. @torque.videography is holding things down on the YouTube side, so you’ll still see regular uploads while I’m away 🎥 If you’ve messaged, I’ll get back to you once I’m back and working through everything. Appreciate the continued support! see you all soon 👊

New video out on the YouTube channel!! Hit the link in the bio to watch the full video. This isn’t a showroom build or a big-budget race car project. It’s a DIY track Golf that our pal George has been slowly building over this winter with the help from us. Changing bits, refining it, improving it, and turning it into something genuinely fast and properly sorted. In this video we take a full walkaround of the car, talk through the setup, the choices behind the build, and some of the lessons learned along the way. From suspension and chassis setup to the little details that make a track car work properly, this is very much a build driven by passion rather than throwing endless money at it. Just a proper enthusiast-built Golf that’s evolved over time into something really special.

Today we’re fitting a RacingLine oil cooler kit to a Cupra as part of a reliability-focused upgrade package. On tuned MQB cars, keeping oil temperatures under control becomes increasingly important — especially if the car sees hard road use, long trips, or track time. So in this video we work through the install process, talk through some of the key steps, and show what’s involved in fitting the kit properly. This isn’t a full step-by-step beginner tutorial, but there’s enough detail here that we hope you find useful as a reference or just interesting if you like this stuff. As always, it’s a proper “come along for the day” style workshop video rather than a polished how-to. We hope you like it! Hit the link in the bio to watch the video!

The car is finally done atleast 99.5% but it’s ready to go final setup complete. I have to admit the standard the car’s finished to tested my patience at times but knowing @kolatech_ perfectionist finish we couldn’t settle for anything less. Dialed the car in ready to give it some stick next weekend and see what comes from it. 8 month ago it was a vision I never thought would be obtainable and or if I had the courage to pull it off without the support and knowledge from Zak. @kolatech_ @abs.motorsport.composites @motordriveseats @sw_motorsports

I feel like I don’t post much anymore… sorry about that! Feels like I’m letting you all down 😅 But it’s still full steam ahead here at Kolatech HQ in Rochdale. 5 Cupras and 3 RS3s through the doors already this week, so it’s normal service as usual 😂 This lovely R8 V10 came in for a few issues to be diagnosed before returning in a few weeks for some service work. Absolutely stunning car, immaculate condition. A few things sorted, a few things left for the owner to think about 👌 We don’t shout about our supercar work much, but we do plenty of it and do it properly too. Porsches, R8s, Lambos, Ferraris… all welcome. That said, the hot hatch scene is still our bread and butter 🔧🔥 On that note… I’m off on holiday next week ☀️ We’re currently taking bookings from June onwards, so if you need anything, get in touch now. And unfortunately, expect to wait. Job done 🫡

This Alfa Romeo 4C is heading to the Nürburgring — but not before a proper once-over at Kolatech. Before any trip like that, especially in a lightweight, high-strung car like a 4C, it pays to stay ahead of the maintenance. In this video we work through a full pre-trip service and checkover, including spark plugs, gearbox oil, engine oil, a dog-bone mount replacement, and a general health check to make sure everything looks ready for the Ring. It’s not a build video, just a proper workshop day making sure a special car is as prepared as it should be before being driven properly. As always, it’s often the preventative jobs and little details that matter most. Link in the bio for the video!

This weekend we were out in Germany running a 911 GT3 Cup car during the Nürburgring 24h weekend. The car was flawless all through practice, but following the tragic loss of Juha Miettinen during the race, as a team we made the decision not to race on Sunday. An unfortunate end to the weekend, and a stark reminder of how unforgiving the Ring can be and just how dangerous motorsport is. Huge respect to everyone who puts it on the line. A note to all my customers to stay safe out on circuit 🫡

Latest video on YouTube is all about how we maintain modified vehicles. We have rigorous service schedules which we like to advise and we have excellent success rate with stage 3 builds being reliable. We just waffle and vibe in the workshop on this video proving just how good big power vehicles can be when they’re looked after to the highest standard!! Give it a watch.

Skoda Octavia VRS track car in for some major surgery. Timing chain kit and every relevant gasket and bolt and adaption ✅ Investigation into coolant leak, recently had a thermostat + waterpump and the union was leaking badly in very strange way. Remove and install, fit brand new union, pressure test. All good! Customers done a fair few miles now with 0 new leaks to report. Job done 🤝

Shane’s epic integra type R in for a full setup. He had a major mental blip recently and sold it for an evo??? Weird. He snapped back into reality and bought it back, but unfortunately it had had some tweaks that didn’t suit his style. So we got it back to a lovely baseline for us to work from! Job done ✅
