It’s been two weeks since the festival’s amazing success, and I wanted to share a little anecdote I’d saved in my notes app.
March 2025 • the word ‘community’ and an image of a salangai (straight off Pinterest) pinned on my vision board. The urge to return to dance after a long hiatus but never quite following through. Let’s keep it simple: imposter syndrome.
March 2026 • London Margazhi, a beautiful two-day celebration of dance and music, spotlighting talent across the UK.
Thank you to @ami_jay and @ldnadavu for this incredible opportunity to work behind the scenes and help bring the team’s vision to life. @charveeeeeeeeeeee - so happy we got to work together over the past three months. Even though most of it was via Zoom, the banter was unmatched girly 💞
So, so grateful to have been part of Project Margazhi. I hope this continues to serve as a reminder to myself that stepping outside of my comfort zone will lead to such wonderful opportunities - introducing me to talent, experiences, and moments beyond what feels familiar.
