The season of falling cherry blossoms —
a fleeting encounter with travelers passing through,
like another beautiful, vanishing dream🌸
I made a concert, plus a lecture and a hands-on koto workshop with matcha tea party, for lovely guests visiting from abroad — all in a warm and lively atmosphere. I was very happy to see everyone was so attentive and enthusiastic, asking many great questions🙏
I’ve long believed that my ideal vision of a concert leads back to the tea ceremony, in the meaning of the relationship between host and guest, and the concept of "mitate"🍵
Thinking of the guests who will come, tuning the strings, crafting the program and notes, preparing the matcha and seasonal sweets paired with each composition, coordinating the kimono... And on the day itself, sharing in the moments that unfold together in that space.
Ichigo ichie — one time, one meeting, never to return.
I believe those experiences will continue to resonate within each person.

桜散りゆく季節
旅人との一期一会のひと時も
また儚い夢のよう
海外からのお客様に向けて、コンサート、レクチャー、体験ワークショップ、そして茶会のホストを務めさせていただきました。
演奏と一緒に曲毎にコーディネートした季節のお菓子とお抹茶を楽しんでいただいたり、演奏体験も和気藹々と。
皆さん温かく熱心に耳を傾け、質問も沢山してくださって嬉しかったです。
常々、理想とするコンサートの形は茶会に行き着くと思っています。
来る人のことを想い、調弦をし、プログラムやレジュメを作り、お抹茶やお菓子を用意して着物のコーディネートを考えて、、
当日はその場に集った人たちと二度と無い一期一会の瞬間を分かち合う。
きっとその体験はそれぞれに響き続ける。
にしても、ついに茶会の亭主と演奏とワークショップを一度に務めるという猛烈チャレンジ。限られた時間でしたが心強い助っ人に恵まれてスムーズに終えることができました。

こうしていざという時に頼りになる友人の存在にも感謝を噛み締め、撤収後寝不足なのに数時間に及ぶ近況報告。ヤスコンコン(箏、小鼓、琵琶のユニット)も夏の陣か秋の陣くらいにまたできるといいな
